I had a banana, date and chia seed smoothie on Etihad a few weeks ago. Nicest thing I've had on a plane.

Eat Me dates.

Like Brussels, every Christmas I would think my tastebuds might have matured enough to like these things...and every Christmas they were fucking horrible.

Re: Dates
When I used to do a bit of cargo handling at Heathrow a few years back. At least once a week for at least 6 months of the year I would have to unload around 5 tonnes of dates by hand if memory serves me right they came in around 500 boxes and it was normally the last flight I did before knocking off for the day.
I used to always pray the flight was delayed so the next shift had to do it!

Re: Dates

Bought a kilo the other day - not the fancy Christmas ones, which are a bit of an acquired taste - the dried ones. Lovely chopped up on your cereal.
